Capture your event with a live oil painting by Stephanie
Over the last six years, I have had the privilege of capturing some of the most beautiful, timeless moments live on canvas. With a classical oil painting education, I learned a love for the rich colors, blending abilities and buttery texture that only oils can offer and am continually learning to improve my process and skill.
While your guests enjoy watching the painting come to life throughout the evening, you will cherish the finished painting of your special day for many years to come!

Live Painting FAQs
how much do you charge?
Full pricing information is available in the Live Painting Packages. Pricing starts at $4,900 and all packages include all supplies, 5+ hours of live painting at the event, additional studio editing and a completed oil painting on stretched canvas.
do you travel?
Yes! I charge a mileage travel fee if your event is over an hour drive from Lexington, Kentucky. Additional accommodations are required for events that are over a three hour drive from Lexington, Kentucky. Please check out the Live Painting Packages for more information.
how do I book a live painting?
Once you send a booking request, I will get back to you with my availability; If confirmed, youβll receive a contract estimate and deposit invoice via email. I require a 50% deposit in order to secure your event date. The final payment will be invoiced a week prior to the event date.
How far in advance should I book my live painting?
Now booking 2025! Dates fill up quickly because I take on a limited number of live paintings each year. I recommend sending in the request as soon as possible.
Do you finish the painting at the event?
Because I work with oils and enjoy a more realistic and detailed finish, my live paintings are not take-home-ready at the end of your event. I will take the painting back to my studio, add all of the finishing details, and let it dry. Once itβs ready, Iβll schedule the delivery with you. Under certain circumstances, I am able to provide a quick turnaround, but typically, the process ranges from three weeks to several months depending on my work load at the time.
What do you usually paint at a wedding?
At wedding ceremonies, I typically paint the pronouncement, first kiss or exit; And at wedding receptions, the first dance or grand entrance. For bride and groom portraits only, we will discuss what view of your venue youβd like captured as well as specific poses. It is up to you what youβd like me to capture! I am happy to discuss any specific requests or help you decide what will be best. Feel free to check out the gallery below of some recent live wedding paintings.
how much time do you need to set-up before an event?
I like to arrive 2-3 hours before the event so that I can set-up and begin painting the background. If your venue doesnβt allow this early of a set-up, I am flexible and will work with you and your planner regarding logistics.
What if my wedding ceremony is really short? Can you still paint it live?
Yes! I will do as much as I can before and during the ceremony. For larger time or location constraints, I will attend the ceremony to take reference photos and videos and paint during the reception.
what if i have to postpone my event after iβve booked with you?
Send me an email ASAP with the new date and information. If I am available, your deposit will go towards the newly booked date and we will proceed as normal. If I am not available for the new date, your deposit can go towards a custom painting from a photo.
